Field of expertise: Norwegian foreign and security policy, the EU, transatlantic relations, and political systems.

Bachelor’s degree in Comparative Politics from the University of Bergen (2017). Master’s degree in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science (2019). The master’s thesis focused on Norway’s peace policy and analyzed Norway’s participation in the peace process in Colombia up to 2016. Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from OsloMet (2023).

Maia was an intern at the Norwegian Embassy in Lisbon in the autumn of 2015 and has worked as a journalist at NRK News and NTB. She was a board member of YATA Bergen in the spring of 2020.
