Education

This page is intended to serve as a supplement to the standard curriculum, with the purpose of furthering an even deeper understanding of international affairs and Norway’s involvement therein.  The content is especially designed for educational purposes at the high-school level, but may just as well be used by others.  The site is primarily intended to be used by teachers to incorporate into their existing lessons, but students may also find it relevant as either a reference in writing their own in-depth papers or for exam preparation.

We hold annual training courses in international relations around the country. Every year we bring in new lecturers, and the content is adapted to address contemporary and relevant issues. These courses have become increasingly popular, with several participants returning year after year.  We invite social science teachers from all high-schools, but if your school has not received an invitation, send us a message so that we may promptly place you on our school list.

In addition to these courses, we also publish material that can be applied in the teaching of international affairs. We have an external advisory body that is responsible for facilitating the development of teaching materials linked with security policy issues.  See the menu under the Education Committee.
